Dharma Productions posted a video to Instagram with the comment, “To a #Dostana who gave you a great time 14 years ago on this day! #14yearsofDostana.”
The song “Jaane Kyun” was playing in the background as the production company shared clips from the movie in the accompanying video.
Tarun Mansukhani directed the smash hit movie, which also had important parts for Kirron Kher and Bobby Deol.
In “Dostana,” the characters played by John and Abhishek pretended to be dating in order to obtain Priyanka to let them remain in her apartment. The comedy of mistakes starts when the two fall in love with Priyanka’s character later on.
The film, which was produced by Karan Johar and was released in 2008, ranked among the highest-grossing movies of the year.
Kartik Aaryan, Janhvi Kapoor, and newbie Lakshay will star in the film’s sequel, “Dostana 2,” which Karan Johar confirmed for later in the year.
However, a rift between Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar in 2021 resulted in the actor’s departure from the project.
There hasn’t been a new update for “Dostana 2” in over a year.
Priyanka will next be featured with Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif in director and producer Farhan Akhtar’s forthcoming movie “Jee Le Zaraa.”
On the other hand, Abhishek just watched the second season of the suspense series “Breathe: Into the Shadows,” which debuted on the OTT service Amazon Prime Video.
Alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, John will next be seen in Siddharth Anand’s action thriller “Pathaan.” The movie is scheduled to premiere on January 25, 2023.
