The disappointed CEO stated that such last-minute cancellations should not be encouraged.

Prashant Pitti, co-founder of online travel company EaseMyTrip, shared a screenshot of a message sent by a candidate on the day they were supposed to start.
In it, the individual states that they decided not to join due to another job offer.
Mr Pitti stated on Twitter that this was a “hugely prevalent” issue.
In India, where a number of vocal young professionals have launched or joined start-ups in recent years, social media discussions about work culture have become common.
The CEO of Bombay Shaving Company was recently chastised for suggesting that new recruits at any job work 18 hours a day.
In the case of Mr Pitti, the reaction was mixed.
Companies waste a lot of time and resources, he claims, when a candidate drops out at the last minute.
