The first-ever short film festival, ‘Dil Mange More,’ is being held for Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh youth to channel their hidden skills in filmmaking in a good way.
Indian Army, which is in the forefront of border protection as well as people’s welfare in Jammu and Kashmir, has chosen to conduct first-of-its-kind short film festival. Captain Rahul Bali of the Indian Army created month-long mega cinema festival to accomplish Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s objective of empowering the youth of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
Dil Mange More Young Cinema Festival 2022 is devoted to the bright youth of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh who wish to establish a career in film and give their talent wings.
Jammu and Kashmir youth have been urged to create short films of 5 to 15 minutes in length and submit them online by December 10. This festival’s closing ceremony will take place on December 16, 2022, and will include participation from notable Bollywood cinema celebrities as well as key people. A lakh rupees will be awarded to the first-place short film, 75 thousand rupees to the second-place short film, and 50 thousand rupees to the third-place short film.
In addition to a cash prize and a merit certificate, the top three winners of the short film competition will receive additional training and guidance from renowned award-winning filmmakers Imtiaz Ali, Rahul Mitra, and Omesh Shukla so that they can showcase their skills at the International Indian Film Festival.
Imtiaz Ali Window Set Films, Rahul Mitra Films, Omesh Shukla Merry Go Rawand Studio, IFFW, and Puneet Balan Group also sponsor the film festival.
Earlier on Monday, award-winning filmmakers Imtiaz Ali, Rahul Mitra, Umesh Shukla, Rahat Kazmi, and well-known actors Sara Khan and Tariq Khan organised workshops and master classes in which over 15,000 youth from Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh participated both offline and online.
The kids are really excited about this event, and a big number of online entries have begun to pour in.
