Assam’s flood situation remained grave on Friday, with 45.34 lakh people still affected by the storm.

As per reports, ten individuals have died in the previous 48 hours, bringing the overall number of victims to 117. Out of the 117 people who died, 100 died in the flood and 17 died in the landslide. Two drones have been deployed in Silchar, Cachar district, to carry out flood inundation mapping and to deliver relief items to inaccessible locations.

Today, 85.2 MT of GR products, like as bottled drinking water and grains, were airlifted from Guwahati and Jorhat to Silchar.

Personnel from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), as well as SDRF, Fire and Emergency personnel, the Police Force, and AAPDA MITRA Volunteers are assisting district administrations with rescue operations and relief deliveries.

In the previous 24 hours, flooding have harmed 33,03,316 individuals from 3,510 villages in 28 districts, as well as 91658.49 hectares of cropland.
