Santosh Garden, a banquet venue located in Dwarka, Delhi, is poised to transform into a heavily guarded location on March 12th, as over 200 police officers are expected to be in attendance.

The reason for this heightened security measure is the upcoming wedding between gangster Sandeep, also known as Kala Jathedi, and “history-sheeter” Anuradha Choudhary, alias ‘Madam Minz’.

The banquet hall, situated in Dwarka Sector-3, has been reserved for the occasion by Sandeep’s lawyer for a sum of ₹51,000. The wedding ceremony will witness the presence of 250 policemen, including SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics) commandos equipped with advanced weaponry. According to reports from the news agency PTI, the police personnel will comprise teams from the special cell, crime branch, and Haryana’s CIA (Crime Investigation Agency).

The Delhi Police has devised a strategic plan to prevent any untoward incidents, taking into consideration Sandeep’s infamous reputation and past criminal records.

Who is gangster Sandeep alias Kala Jathedi?

Sandeep, known as Kala Jathedi, is currently incarcerated in Tihar jail. He has a history of escaping custody, having fled once from Haryana Police and orchestrating the escape of an associate from Delhi Police custody.

Previously wanted and the subject of a ₹7 lakh reward, Kala Jathedi hails from Sonipat, Haryana. Despite his criminal past, a Delhi court has granted him a six-hour parole for his marriage to Anuradha Choudhary, who herself has multiple criminal charges against her.

According to a police official speaking to PTI, Kala Jathedi managed to escape from Haryana Police custody while being transported to Faridabad court in 2020. His gang members ambushed the police convoy and engaged in gunfire, resulting in injuries to a police officer.

In 2021, Kala Jathedi and his accomplices orchestrated a shootout at Delhi’s GTB Hospital, facilitating the escape of Kuldeep Fajja from Delhi Police custody. Fajja was later apprehended and killed in an encounter with Delhi Police’s special cell.

As per the court order, Kala Jathedi has been granted permission for his marriage ceremony from 10 am to 4 pm. On the following day, March 13, he will be escorted to his hometown of Jathedi village in Sonipat for the couple’s homecoming rituals.
