Torii, a classy restaurant in Mumbai, is hailed as one of the most elegant fine dining establishments in the city of dreams. It is the brainchild of entrepreneur and wife of Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan. Recently, Gauri used social media to share behind-the-scenes photos of her restaurant, which radiates unmatched elegance and sophistication.
Gauri posted a video tour of the restaurant on Instagram and captioned it, saying, “Torii, where sophisticated ambiance meets culinary excellence.” My foray into restaurant design opened my mind to a whole new creative realm. Every element of the exquisite dinner experience we’ve created radiates unmatched quality and glamour.
Gauri and the head chef of the establishment explain the idea behind the restaurant in the video. “I am so excited to introduce you to my very first venture in hospitality,” the woman exclaims. Torii refers to a temple’s entrance. It goes much beyond that for us. Each piece in this room has been carefully selected to create a cozy and opulent atmosphere. The space is dominated by the signature colors of gold, red, and green, which give it an airy yet cozy feel.
Shah Rukh Khan attended the restaurant’s February 14 launch party, which was organized by Gauri earlier this month. Bhavna Panday, Maheep Kapoor, and Chunky Panday were among the friends of Gauri who came in to support her.
