Goa Chief Minister and BJP leader Dr. Pramod Sawant expressed confidence on Tuesday that the party would secure more than 10 seats in Telangana during the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

“We are poised to win more than 10 (Lok Sabha) seats in Telangana, I can assure you of that. The people of Telangana have shown their trust in the ‘Modi Guarantee’,” stated the Goa CM to reporters.

On February 11, the BJP’s Telangana unit launched the ‘Vijaya Sankalpa Yatra’, covering five regions in the state in preparation for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.

The yatra, which began on February 20, is scheduled to conclude on March 1, according to the BJP.

Telangana BJP chief and Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy emphasized that the yatra aims to reach out to one crore people.

“The Vijay Sankalp Yatra will traverse through all 17 parliamentary constituencies in the state, reaching over one crore people across 33 districts,” Kishan Reddy informed ANI.

He affirmed the BJP’s ambition to secure seats in double digits in the state during the upcoming Lok Sabha election.

“We will seek support for our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. In Telangana, the BJP is contesting to win, including the Hyderabad seat held by Asaduddin Owaisi. We anticipate achieving double-digit seats in Telangana,” Reddy asserted.

Telangana comprises 17 Lok Sabha constituencies, namely Adilabad, Bhuvanagiri, Chevella, Hyderabad, Karimnagar, Khammam, Mahabubabad, Mahabubnagar, Malkajgiri, Medak, Nagarkurnool, Nalgonda, Nizamabad, Peddapalle, Secunderabad, Warangal, and Zahirabad.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the BRS won nine of the 17 seats, while the BJP and Congress secured four and three seats respectively.

The Lok Sabha polls are anticipated to take place in April-May this year.
