On April 7th, disturbing events unfolded when certain individuals on social media made highly derogatory remarks against revered Hindu deities such as Prabhu Shri Ram, Maa Saraswati, and Bhagwan Vishnu. In response, a courageous Hindu youth named Rajkumar vehemently challenged these comments in a language that the offenders could understand.

However, the repercussions of Rajkumar’s bold stance were severe and unexpected. Infuriated by his strong rebuttal, approximately sixty armed individuals identified as Islamists initiated a frantic pursuit to locate Rajkumar and gather information about his whereabouts and family. Resorting to intimidation and violence, they managed to track down one of Rajkumar’s friends.

On the same night of April 7th, a group of around sixty Islamists, riding at least 35 motorcycles, forcibly abducted Rajkumar’s friend at gunpoint. Subsequently, they proceeded to Rajkumar’s residence at 10:30 PM with the intent to harm him. Failing to locate Rajkumar, they resorted to threatening and verbally abusing his family members. Shockingly, they even filed false complaints against Rajkumar at a nearby police station, as reported by the ‘Vishwa Hindu Mahasangh’.

Upon learning of this distressing incident on April 9th, members of the ‘Vishwa Hindu Mahasangh’ promptly intervened. They approached the police to demand protection for Rajkumar and his family and took decisive action by filing a First Information Report (FIR) against over forty individuals identified as Islamists involved in the unlawful activities.

This alarming sequence of events underscores the importance of safeguarding freedom of expression while emphasizing the need to address and prevent acts of intimidation and violence stemming from religious or communal tensions. The ‘Vishwa Hindu Mahasangh’ remains committed to seeking justice and ensuring the safety of individuals like Rajkumar who face threats for standing up against religious intolerance and bigotry.
