A student has been detained for making a false bomb threat on Monday at a school in Amritsar.

Monday’s bomb threat was discovered to have been sent to the school by two Spring Dale kids. Further inquiry by the police revealed that it was a fake perpetrated by the students because of impending examinations.

An FIR has been filed, according to the police, under Sections 262, 506, and 507. Police have detained one suspect and are looking for the other.

The parents were asked by M.S. Bhullar, DCP, to monitor their children and to look at their phones and activities.

More investigation into the situation is awaited.

Earlier on September 8, the DAV Public School in Amritsar received a false bomb threat; as a result, security was stepped up outside the building.

A fake message claiming there was a bomb at the school and gunfire was sent to the principal. The text was written in both English and Urdu and sent using a bogus Instagram ID, according to the authorities.

The three perpetrators were students at the school itself, according to the police as well.

“It turns out that the communication was a scam. It appears that three kids from the school created the bogus Instagram ID that was used. The material was written in both English and Urdu using Google Translate. The same was explained to the parents over the phone. We’ll comply with the principal’s request “said DCP Bhullar.
