Increase Covid vaccine drive for children aged 12-14: Uttar Pradesh CM

When asked about the state’s Covid issue, the Chief Minister stated that vaccinating all eligible children is the government’s top priority and instructed officials to assure vaccine supply.

Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, today directed officials to increase the current Covid vaccination programme for children aged 12 to 14, claiming that many of these children have yet to receive their vaccinations.
When asked about the state’s Covid issue, the Chief Minister stated that vaccinating all eligible children is the government’s top priority and instructed officials to assure vaccine supply.

“Many youngsters aged 12 to 14 years have yet to receive the immunisation.

It is necessary to increase the immunisation campaign for them. “The state has adequate vaccine supplies, and this should be assured for future demand,” he said.

According to the announcement, he also urged authorities to conduct public awareness efforts on the necessity of booster doses and to encourage everyone above the age of 18 to get the vaccine.

Uttar Pradesh has given out 32,10,86,485 vaccination doses so far.

According to data, 17,30,37,190 of them are initial doses, whereas 14,50,83,297 are fully vaccinated.

In the state, vaccination doses have been delivered to over 2,36,01,148 youngsters aged 15-17 years and over 77,68,203 children aged 12-14 years.
