The daughter of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and TRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha, who denied being involved in the Delhi liquor scandal, said on Monday that she will bring a defamation lawsuit against Delhi BJP politicians who had falsely accused her.

She told reporters at this location that any inquiry may be ordered because the BJP had the majority at the Centre. “They control all the authorities and are able to appoint any investigation. We will work together wholeheartedly,” Kavitha assured.

She stated that because I am the Chief Minister’s daughter, the BJP leaders’ accusations against me are unfounded. The Central government and its policies have come under fire from the Chief Minister. As a result of Chandrasekhar Rao’s accusations against the Central government, Kavitha and the Telangana people are of the opinion that the BJP is attempting to damage the reputation of our family.

“We come from a fighting family. For a separate Telangana, we fought. We live on the streets and support the populace at all times. The BJP is toying with the wrong people, I’m very sorry. We won’t take a step back. We’re not going down without a fight, Kavitha said.

Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma, a West Delhi MP, and Manjinder Sirsa, a former MLA, said during a news conference in Delhi on Sunday that the Delhi liquor scandal had connections to Telangana, and they suspected the involvement of the family of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. Kavitha’s name was also brought up by the former BJP MLA in the Delhi liquor scandal. In response to the accusations, Kavitha stated: “The claims made against me are totally unfounded. They are still only accusations.

The TRS leader further said that she will sue Parvesh Varma and Manjinder Sirsa for defamation and ask the court for an injunction against anyone who made such claims.

She said that the BJP administration was utilising the media and all of the government’s investigative agencies to muzzle the voice of the opposition and that this was bad for democracy. Making false accusations was not a good trend, she claimed, in politics.

She added that the BJP leaders’ efforts would be “useless” and that they were being made with the intention of psychologically undermining the TRS leaders. She recalled how the TR S had dealt with several accusations even during the independent Telangana campaign and had never been intimidated by such unfounded claims.

“We are not frightened by such unfounded accusations. She claimed that the Central government had not adequately responded to the concerns brought up by TRS, including as the rape case involving Bilkis Bano. When BJYM activists held a dharna in front of Kavitha’s home and demanded that she quit as an MLC, tension persisted in the city for a while. The agitators were dispersed by the police. Minister for Roads and Buildings Vemula Prasanth Reddy described the BJYM activists’ dharna as a timid gesture. The Minister declared, “Kavitha has the support of the entire TRS rank and file.”
