Officials with the district government confirmed the incident’s location as Samole Village in Muttal neighbourhood of Udhampur on Saturday. Billa Son of Jasana Samol’s Roshan Din owns the fallen home.

Officials said that rescuers found the remains of the children, identified as 3-year-old Arif and 2-month-old Gani, sons of Billa Son.

The horrifying tragedy happened as the family was eating supper in their house’s exterior room while both of their children slept inside.

Two kids were trapped under the rubble during the unexpected collapse while the rest of the family managed to flee. Later, under the collapsed area, officials found the dead.

Officials from the police and revenue department flocked to the scene and immediately began rescue efforts.

Manoj Sinha, lieutenant governor of Jammu and Kashmir, expressed his sorrow over the occurrence and gave officials the order to give the impacted family the support they need.
