Maneka Gandhi Expresses Happiness Being Part of Bharatiya Janata Party

“I am very happy that I came back to Sultanpur because this place has a history where no MP came back into power again in Sultanpur,” she added, highlighting the significance of her return to the constituency.

Following the recent denial of a ticket from his constituency, BJP MP Varun Gandhi’s mother and fellow BJP MP Maneka Gandhi has broken her silence during her 10-day visit to Uttar Pradesh’s Sultanpur. Expressing her happiness to be a part of the party, she addressed questions regarding Varun Gandhi’s future plans, stating, “Ask him what he wants to do. We will consider this after the elections. There is time.”

During her visit to Sultanpur, Maneka Gandhi expressed gratitude for being a part of the BJP, thanking party leaders including Amit Shah, Prime Minister Modi, and Nadda Ji for the ticket. She mentioned that the ticket announcement came late, leading to a dilemma regarding whether to contest from Pilibhit or Sultanpur. However, she expressed contentment with the party’s decision.

“I am very happy that I came back to Sultanpur because this place has a history where no MP came back into power again in Sultanpur,” she added, highlighting the significance of her return to the constituency.

This visit marked Maneka Gandhi’s first since receiving the ticket for Sultanpur. During her 10-day stay, she is scheduled to visit 101 villages across the entire Lok Sabha constituency, engaging with constituents and addressing their concerns.

Maneka Gandhi was warmly welcomed by party leaders and workers at various locations, including Katka Guptarganj, Tatianagar, Tedhui, Golaghat, Shahganj Square, Dariyapur Tiraha, and Payagipur Square. The BJP District President Dr. RA Verma, BJP State Minister Meena Choubey, Lok Sabha in-charge Durgesh Tripathi, Lok Sabha convenor Jagjit Singh Changu, MLA Raj Prasad Upadhyay, MLA Rajesh Gautam, and spokesperson Vijay Raghuvanshi were among those present to greet her.

During her visit, Maneka Gandhi also paid respects to the statues of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, highlighting the party’s ideological roots and principles.

This development comes after Varun Gandhi penned a heartfelt letter to the people of his constituency, Pilibhit, expressing that his relationship with the area will persist “till his last breath.”

The political landscape in Uttar Pradesh remains dynamic as elections draw near, and Maneka Gandhi’s visit and statements indicate the BJP’s efforts to strengthen its position in Sultanpur. Her interactions with party members and constituents reflect a commitment to understanding local issues and engaging with the community.

As the election season progresses, the BJP’s strategy and candidate selections continue to draw attention. Maneka Gandhi’s visit to Sultanpur and her expressions of support for the party signal a focused approach to securing electoral success in the upcoming polls.
