Miss World 2024: Krystyna Pyszkova from Czech Republic Wins The Crown

The glamorous event unfolded at Mumbai’s Jio World Convention Centre, where Miss Lebanon, Yasmina Zaytoun, was announced as the first runner-up, and Karolina Bielawska from Poland, the reigning Miss World, passed on her crown.

Krystyna Pyszkova, representing the Czech Republic, emerged victorious as the Miss World 2024 winner, while Sini Shetty from India secured a place in the top 8. The glamorous event unfolded at Mumbai’s Jio World Convention Centre, where Miss Lebanon, Yasmina Zaytoun, was announced as the first runner-up, and Karolina Bielawska from Poland, the reigning Miss World, passed on her crown.

The event, attended by esteemed personalities, celebrated femininity and cultural diversity. Anticipation for this year’s Miss World competition was notably high, given India’s legacy of producing outstanding beauty queens.

Pyszkova’s win is not only a personal triumph but also an inspiration to aspiring beauty queens globally. Her journey, marked by dedication and perseverance, embodies the core values of the Miss World pageant, transcending beauty standards to promote purpose and empowerment. Pyszkova follows in the footsteps of Tatana Kucharova, becoming the second Miss World from the Czech Republic.

The Miss World pageant, tracing its origins back to a bikini contest in 1951, has evolved into a global platform promoting philanthropy and empowerment. With a presence in over 100 countries, the Miss World Organization continues its commitment to supporting disadvantaged children.

The event showcased more than just a beauty pageant; it honored womanhood in its entirety. Renowned Indian designer Archana Kochhar curated the stunning ensembles worn by contestants, infusing Bollywood style into the spectacle.

India boasts six Miss World titleholders, including Reita Faria Powell (1966), Aishwarya Rai Bachchan(1994), Diana Hayden (1997), Yukta Mookhey(1999), Priyanka Chopra Jonas (2000), and Manushi Chillar(2017). The 71st Miss World pageant featured contestants from 112 countries, held at the Jio World Convention Centre in BKC.

The judging panel, comprising industry luminaries and former Miss World winners, included film producer Sajid Nadiadwala, actors Kriti Sanon and Pooja Hegde, cricketer Harbhajan Singh, news personality Rajat Sharma, social worker Amruta Fadnavis, Vineet Jain, MD of Bennett, Coleman & Co. Limited, Julia Morley, Chairperson and CEO of the Miss World Organization, Jamil Saidi, Strategic Partner & Host – Miss World India, and three former Miss World winners, among others. Filmmaker Karan Johar and former Miss World Megan Young hosted the event, which kicked off with captivating performances by singers Shaan, Neha Kakkar, and Tony Kakkar.
