The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Bilaspur will be inaugurated by PM Modi. According to the PMO, he will also take part in the Dussehra festivities in Kullu.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi On October 5, will dedicate the AIIMS in Bilaspur to the public, according to Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Jai Ram Thakur.
In Tanda, close to Dharamsala, he was speaking at a cultural event sponsored by the Dr. Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College Students’ Central Association.
The visit comes only days after the Prime Minister’s earlier visit to Mandi was forced to be cancelled due to inclement weather.
Jai Ram Thakur, the chief minister of Himachal Pradesh, Anurag Thakur, and JP Nadda, the president of the BJP, examined the preparations for PM Modi’s visit.
Around 12:45 pm, he will arrive at Bilaspur’s Luhnu Ground, where he will inaugurate a number of development projects, lay the cornerstone for them, and give a speech to the general public.
The visit is noteworthy since it occurs before the polls in Himachal Pradesh, where the governing BJP is running for re-election and the Congress is continuously losing legislators and leaders to the saffron party.
A major government undertaking, the construction of AIIMS Bilaspur began in October 2017 and is funded by the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana of the Central Government. AIIMS Bilaspur is a cutting-edge hospital with 750 beds, 64 ICU beds, 18 specialty and 17 super-specialty departments, 18 modular operating rooms, and a construction budget of more than Rs 1470 crore.
It is spread out over 247 acres and features advanced diagnostics, a 30-bed AYUSH block, and emergency and dialysis services available around the clock.
The PM will announce many development projects, including the laying of the foundation stone for a 30-km-long project to widen NH-105 from Pinjore to Nalagarh, which would cost more than Rs 1690 crore.
The highway serves as a crucial connecting route for traffic travelling from Ambala, Chandigarh, Panchkula, Solan/Shimla, and other nearby cities to Bilaspur, Mandi, and Manali. This four-lane national highway has a section that is located in Himachal Pradesh for around 18 km and in Haryana for the rest distance.
“This route will provide greater transportation options in Nalagarh-Baddi, Himachal Pradesh’s industrial centre, and will also encourage additional industrial growth in the area. The state’s tourism will also increase, according to a PMO press statement.
The Medical Device Park in Nalagarh, which will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 350 crore, will also have its foundation stone laid by the prime minister.
More than Rs 800 crore worth of MoUs have already been inked at this Medical Device Park to establish enterprises. The initiative will greatly increase the region’s job prospects.
PM Modi will also dedicate the Government Hydro Engineering College in Bandla.
The institution, which is estimated to have cost Rs 140 crore, would aid in the availability of skilled labour for hydropower projects, in which Himachal Pradesh is one of the leading states. It will aid in young skill development and offer a variety of work possibilities in the hydropower industry.
At Kullu’s Dhalpur Ground, the International Kullu Dussehra Festival will take held from October 5 to 11.
