Mohanlal is one of the biggest and most respected names in the Indian film industry. The veteran actor enjoys a dedicated fan following due to his versatile performances and gripping screen presence.

On Monday, March 18, ‘Lalettan’ announced his 360th film. The mass hero took to X (formerly known as Twitter) and revealed that the yet-to-be-directed movie will be directed by Tharun Moorthy of ‘Saudi Vellakka’ fame. It will be penned by KR Sunil and the filmmaker himself. Mohanlal added that the new film will go on floors in April.

“Looking forward to working with Tharun Moorthy and M Renjith for my 360th film. Directed by Tharun Moorthy, the film is scripted by KR Sunil and the director himself. The project is produced by M. Renjith under Rejaputhra Visual Media. Appreciating your prayers and well wishes as the shoot begins this April. #L360 #MRenjith #TharunMoorthy #RejaputhraVisualMedia #KRSunil #AvantikaRenjith,” read the post.

He also shared a photo with the team.

This comes merely two months after Mohanlal suffered a setback when ‘Malaikottai Vaaliban’ failed to live up to expectations at the box office. The film was directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery and featured the seasoned actor in a dual role. The story centred on a fearless warrior who triumphs over his foes across geographies. Its cast included Kannada actor Danish Sait, Sonalee Kulkarni and Hareesh Peradi.

Mohanlal is set to make his debut as a director with ‘Barroz’ , billed as a fantasy drama. He also essays the lead role in the biggie. Its cast includes Maya, Cesar Lorente Raton and Kallirroi Tziafeta among others. Mohanlal is also working on ‘L2’, a follow up to ‘Lucifier’. He also has Jeethu Joseph’s ‘Ram’ and Nanda Kishore’s pan-India film ‘Vrushabha’ in his kitty.
