According to External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, India is working with many nations whose people were killed in the 2008 Mumbai terror attack to ensure that true culprits do not escape.
Jaishankar today stated “It’s an event that the entire country recalls. I want to emphasise how strongly we feel about it and how dedicated we are to see the justice process throug.”
Minister of External Affairs went on to say, “Today marks the one-year anniversary of the Mumbai terror incident of 26/11. Even after all these years, the people who planned and managed it have not been held accountable. They have not been held accountable. This is something we place a high value on.”
In 2008, ten Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists (LeT) carried out 12 synchronised shooting and bombing assaults in Mumbai, killing at least 166 people and injuring 300 more.
Last month, India held a two-day UN Security Council (UNSC) anti-terrorism conference as head of the Counter-Terrorism Committee (CTC).
Following the summit, the Delhi Declaration was released, emphasising that terrorists’ ability to reach safe havens remains a major concern and that all Member States must cooperate completely in the fight against terrorism.
Terrorism, in all its forms and manifestations, was likewise identified as one of the most significant dangers to world peace and security in the Declaration.
