Former India batsman Mohammad Kaif recently shared his insights on the Star Sports show ‘Follow the Blues’, revealing his personal selection for the squad. Kaif’s lineup includes dynamic players like Rishabh Pant as the wicketkeeper and Yuzvendra Chahal as the fourth specialist spinner, with a notable preference for Riyan Parag over Rinku Singh.

According to Kaif, the starting XI would feature Yashasvi Jaiswal opening alongside Rohit Sharma, followed by Virat Kohli at No. 3, Suryakumar Yadav at No. 4, Hardik Pandya at No. 5, and Rishabh Pant at No. 6. The batting depth would be fortified with Axar Patel at No. 7 and Ravindra Jadeja at No. 8. The bowling attack would be anchored by Kuldeep Yadav at No. 9, alongside fast bowlers Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh.

Further selections for the squad included Shivam Dube, praised for his form and ability against spin, along with Riyan Parag, recognized for his outstanding performances. Kaif also advocated for the inclusion of Mohammed Siraj, citing his experience and overall record.
