In response to the violence that broke out during the BJP’s protest march to the state secretariat “Nabanna” on Tuesday, BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad claimed that under the leadership of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, West Bengal has turned into a “lawless and bankrupt state.”

But under Mamata Ji’s leadership, it has degenerated into a lawless and bankrupt state “At a news conference held at the party’s headquarters in New Delhi, Prasad made the statement. “Mamata ji has crossed all the bounds of the violation of democratic rights inside Bengal,” he said, “and talks about rescuing democracy outside the Bengal.
Suvendu Adhikari, the leader of the opposition in the West Bengal Assembly, and MP Locket Chatterjee were held by the Kolkata Police on Tuesday before the Nabanna Chalo Abhiyan.
Prior to their detention, BJP members and police engaged in altercations when the members were leaving for Kolkata to participate in Nabanna Abhiyan, first in Bolpur and then outside the Raniganj train station.
Prasad also criticised Nitish Kumar, the chief minister of Bihar, and claimed he was powerless to do anything.
He remarked, “Your minister, Nitish Babu, who is also the son of the RJD state president, claims that he is the organisation’s capo.
It is incredible to see the titles that your new friends are giving you while you are unable to influence them.”
The BJP leader made the aforementioned statement after Bihar Agriculture Minister Sudhakar Singh Tuesday sparked controversy with his assertion that his department was full of “thieves” and that he was the “Sardar” of them all “(Chief) among them.
He continued by “advising” the Chief Minister of Bihar to try to manage the state.
“Please quit claiming to provide decent governance in Delhi, Nitish Ji. Prioritize taking care of your home before tackling Bihar. However, since you came to the capital to meet the people here, a fight has broken out between the Left and Rahul Ji,” he said.
To promote the unity of the opposition ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Kumar had travelled to Delhi on September 5.
After arriving, he met with several opposition leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, the president of the Congress, Arvind Kejriwal, Mulayam Singh Yadav, Akhilesh Yadav of the Samajwadi Party, Sitaram Yechury, the general secretary of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), Om Prakash Chautala, Sharad Yadav, and Dipankar Bhattacharya, the general secretary of the Communist Party of India.
