CBI J-K SI Recruitment Scam: CBI raids underway at 33 places across country

Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is conducting raids at about 33 locations across the nation.

In connection with Sub Inspector (SI) recruitment fraud of Jammu and Kashmir, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is conducting raids at about 33 locations across the nation.

In addition to Jammu, Srinagar, Karnal, Mahendergarh, Rewari in Haryana, Gandhinagar in Gujarat, Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh, Bangalore in Karnataka, and Delhi, the raids are also taking place in 33 other sites. The previous chairman of the Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board, Khalid Jahangir, and Ashok Kumar, who oversees the board’s tests, are the targets of the searches (SSB).

Additionally, searches are being done at the offices of J-K Police, DSP, and CRPF personnel.

Earlier, in August, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) carried out raids at 30 locations in Bangalore and Jammu and Kashmir to look into any irregularities in the recruitment of sub-inspectors for the Jammu & Kashmir police.

Manoj Sinha, the lieutenant governor of J-K, has commissioned an investigation into the anomalies in the choice of police sub-inspectors. Later, he suggested that the CBI look into the situation.
