J&K: Security forces arrest LeT associate from Bandipora, 2 Chinese hand grenades recovered

The J&K police has registered a case against the individual under the Arms Act and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.

Jammu & Kashmir police were notified on Tuesday that Bandipora Police had captured a member of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist organisation as part of an operation with the Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).

In a coordinated effort, the Bandipora Police, in collaboration with the 13 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and the 45th Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), successfully apprehended a terrorist associate affiliated with the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) group in Baharabad Hajin. The operation resulted in the recovery of two Chinese hand grenades.

Following the arrest and seizure, a case was registered against the individual under the Arms Act and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UA(P) Act). These legal frameworks pertain to the possession and use of arms and weapons, as well as the prevention of unlawful activities, respectively.
