Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways and AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy), Sarbananda Sonowal said “The Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) expects the people of the Northeast to excel at the national level” during his first visit to Dibrugarh on Sunday.

Sarbananda Sonowal was recently appointed to the Central Parliamentary Board and Central Election Committee, which are the supreme decision-making bodies of the BJP.

While speaking at Dibrugarh, Sonowal said, “Our party, BJP, is a well-disciplined party where all the members are completely committed to the nation. Besides working towards enriching the quality of lives of the people, the effort by the party has also brought the country together towards a common cause of nation building.”

Union Minister Sonowal expressed gratitude to JP Nadda, the party’s president, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, adding that the party takes the people of the Northeast into account and offers them chances to succeed at the national level.

Under the capable leadership of Shri Narendra Modi and JP Nadda, the party remains firmly anchored in the causes and committed to creating a new India, according to Union Minister Sonowal.

  “I am forever grateful to the people for their love and affection which they have generously bestowed upon me,” said Sonowal extending his appreciation while addressing the people of Dibrugarh.

The Minister will also travel to Bogibeel to dedicate a passenger floating jetty and lay the foundation for floating jetties in both Bogibeel and Guijaan on Monday.
