A ‘fidayeen’ (suicide) attacker from PoK who was apprehended by the Indian Army on Wednesday on the Line of Control (LoC) in the Naushera sector of Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir on August 21 confessed to being assigned by a colonel of the Pakistani Army to assault Indian soldiers. Tabarak Hussain, the terrorist, said that Pakistani Colonel Yunus Chaudhry had offered him roughly Rs 30,000 to carry out the suicide mission.
Hussain told the news agency from a Kashmir-based facility where he is receiving treatment after being injured during the infiltration attempt that he tried to enter Indian territory with four to five other men.
Hussain can be heard saying in a video published on Twitter that he and other terrorists performed two to three close reconnaissances of Indian advance positions to hit them at an opportune time. Hussain lives in the Koti village of Sabzkot in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

Hussain further disclosed that he and his brother Haroon Ali were detained by the Indian Army in the same region in 2016 and were returned on humanitarian grounds in November 2017.
The Army told the media that a “sinister attempt” by Pakistan to disrupt peace in the Jammu area had been thwarted by the effective eradication of two infiltration attempts by terrorists along the LoC in the Naushera sector within 48 hours. Back-to-back infiltration bids on August 21 and 22 in Jhangar and Lam areas resulted in the death of two terrorists and the arrest of a notorious terrorist guide who was tasked by a senior officer of Pakistan’s intelligence agency to lead a group into this side to attack an army post, according to Army’s 80 Infantry Brigade Commander, Brigadier Kapil Rana.
A quadcopter flew over the location on August 23rd, and the remains of the two deceased terrorists were discovered. “A planned operation was undertaken through the severely mined region, and the bodies of both terrorists, as well as one AK-56, three magazines, and a huge number of ammunition, were retrieved,” he added.
Because the region is severely mined, Brigadier Rana stated that the search is being conducted cautiously and is currently ongoing. The official described the foiling of two infiltration attempts in 48 hours as a huge victory for the armed forces.
