Prayagraj Temple Doors to Remain Closed Due to Partial Solar Eclipse

The temples’ doors will be closed on Tuesday due to the partial solar eclipse.

The temples were shut because the Sutak period began at 4:20 in the morning. According to popular belief, in such a circumstance, ceremonial worship activities come to an end. At the Sangam’s banks, worshipers may be seen meditating and chanting. Due to the partial solar eclipse, the Kedarnath and Badrinath temple doors will stay closed.

According to the Chief Administrative Officer of the Shri Kedarnath-Badrinath Temple Committee, puja would be held in the evening following the eclipse.

The president of the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee, Ajendra Ajay, informed the news organisation that the temple’s doors will be opened following the eclipse.

This time, a day after the Diwali holiday, countries throughout the world will see a partial solar eclipse. The eclipse will start in the late afternoon before sunset and be visible in most places.

When the moon moves in front of the sun, blocking the sun’s light from reaching the earth, this is known as a solar eclipse. A solar eclipse occurs as a result of the moon’s shadow falling on the earth.

It is not advised to look at the eclipsed sun with your naked eye, even for a little period of time. Even if the sun is mostly blocked by the moon, it will still result in permanent eye damage and blindness.

In the country’s northwest, the Moon will block the Sun to a degree of between 40 to 50% during the total eclipse. In other regions of the country, the percentage coverage will be lower than the figures mentioned above.

In Delhi and Mumbai, respectively, the Moon will cover almost 44% of the Sun at the time of the greatest eclipse. The eclipse will last 1 hour and 13 minutes in Delhi and 1 hour and 19 minutes in Mumbai from sunrise to sunset.

In Chennai and Kolkata, the eclipse will last for 31 and 12 minutes, respectively.
