LeT terrorist killed during encounter in J-K's Baramulla

In a clash with security personnel on Wednesday in the Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir, two terrorists were killed.

According to the Jammu and Kashmir Police, the terrorist killed in the encounter, which took place early on Saturday morning in the Baramulla neighbourhood of Karhama Kunzer, had ties to the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), a banned terrorist organisation. The terrorist who was killed has been identified as Abid Wani, a native of Kulgam. The terrorist was found to have incriminating items, including an AK-47 rifle, according to the police.

Terrorists and security forces engaged in combat on Wednesday morning in the Kupwara district close to the Pichnad Machil area, according to police officials. Another altercation took place in the meantime in Rajouri’s Kandi forest, according to PRO Defence Jammu’s report today.

Terrorist contacts have been made, the PRO Defence Jammu added. The names of five soldiers who died in an encounter with terrorists in the Rajouri sector of Jammu and Kashmir were made public by the Indian Army on Friday.

Lance Naik Ruchin Singh Rawat, Paratrooper Siddhant Chettri, Naik Arvind Kumar, Hav Neelam Singh, and Paratrooper Pramod Negi are among the fallen soldiers. According to officials, five soldiers died overall during the anti-terror operation in Rajouri, Jammu, and Kashmir’s Kandi neighbourhood.
