The Vasai court in Maharashtra sentenced TV star Tunisha Sharma’s death case accused, Sheezan Khan, to 14 days in judicial detention on Saturday.

After his police custody ended on Saturday, the Waliv police brought the 28-year-old actor in court. Sheezan Khan is said to be Tunisha’s former lover and co-star. Tunisha, 21, was discovered hanged at a TV series set on December 24, a week after the two ended their few-months-long romance.

Earlier on December 25, the Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul actor was detained on grounds of abetting suicide.

The police have so far documented the statements of 27 persons in the case.

The Waliv police sought Sheezan’s five-day remand from the court on Friday, alleging that Sheezan Khan was having an affair with someone other than Tunisha Sharma and had erased several messages from his phone after being apprehended in Tunisha Sharma’s death case.

Sheezan, according to the police, was not helping with the inquiry and continually changed his testimonies when asked about his “secret girlfriend” talks.

According to some retrieved chats, the accused also used to communicate to a number of other girls, according to the police.
