Preparations for Diwali are in full swing across various states, with cities adorned in vibrant decorations as the festival approaches. Homes nationwide are embellished with colorful lights, rangolis, and flowers, setting the stage for the joyous celebration.

Diwali, observed on the 15th day of the month of Kartik, symbolizes the spiritual triumph of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. This year, Diwali falls on November 12.

Social media platforms are buzzing with posts showcasing Diwali celebrations. In Rajkot, a rangoli carnival marked the occasion, while in Indore, artist Shikha Sharma created an impressive 14,000 square feet rangoli. A team of 15 artists, including Shikha, dedicated two days to complete this intricate artwork.

In a heartening gesture, officers and jawans of the Indian Army in Naushera, Jammu and Kashmir, celebrated Diwali by lighting candles and diyas, despite being away from their homes.

Ayodhya achieved a remarkable feat by setting a new Guinness World Record during ‘Deepotsav 2023.’ Over 22.23 lakh diyas were lit, surpassing last year’s record of 15.76 lakh diyas. The Uttar Pradesh Government’s ‘Grand Deepotsav’ was officially recognized by Guinness World Records representatives, with Chief Minister Adityanath extending warm greetings to the city.

The divine return of Lord Ram, Sita, and Lakshman to Ayodhya on a ‘Pushphak Viman’ was vividly recreated, evoking deep emotions among spectators. The event was graced by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Governor Anandiben Patel, and dignitaries from 54 countries who witnessed the grand spectacle.

President Droupadi Murmu conveyed Diwali greetings, emphasizing the festival’s significance in celebrating light’s victory over darkness, good over evil, and justice over injustice. The President urged people to share their joys with the poor and needy, fostering love, brotherhood, and harmony.
