CM Yogi to attend Golden Jubilee celebrations of BRD Medical College today

In honour of the Golden Jubilee of Baba Raghav Das (BRD) Medical College, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will commemorate his affiliation with the institution.

On the occasion of the Baba Raghav Das (BRD) Medical College’s Golden Jubilee, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will commemorate his affiliation with the institution on Saturday.

In eastern Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and the Terai region of neighbouring Nepal, the BRD Medical College served as the only significant healthcare facility prior to the opening of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Gorakhpur, according to an official statement. It stated that in the past five and a half years, “the medical college, which was in a dilapidated state due to the inattentive attitude of the previous governments, has now emerged as a big centre of confidence among the people of Purvanchal in terms of medical amenities.”

The current administration blamed the previous administration for the hospital’s poor situation.

“Despite the importance of this centre, successive administrations never maintained it as a top priority. Due to a lack of timely resources, this medical college, which was in charge of treating millions of patients, began to appear unwell. When its misery peaked in the second half of the 1990s, it was first given serious consideration, “it asserted.

“Since becoming an MP until he was appointed Chief Minister in March 2017, there hasn’t been a similar session of Parliament, and Yogi hasn’t disturbed the government’s sleep over the issues at BRD Medical College. Yogi became the loud voice of the people of the eastern north in the country’s house, speaking out frequently due to resource shortages, encephalitis, and recognition crises “the state administration declared.
