Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan play the two college sweethearts Kapil and Saumya, who are hopelessly in love. After getting married, they remain with Kapil’s family, where they struggle to have any privacy or even time for romance without being constantly interrupted by family members.
To get away from their family, Kapil and Saumya try to get a flat through the Indian government’s flagship program, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). However, they must divorce to be qualified for that. What happens next is a comedy of blunders.

Hence, its total domestic box office revenue is currently estimated to be Rs. 37.36 crore. Zara Hatke Zara Bachke is the second highest-grossing film for Vicky as the lead, after Uri: The Surgical Strike.
