New Delhi: Freedom 251, the ‘Made in India’ android smartphone which was launched amid major fanfare on Wednesday, hit a roadblock a day later as on Thursday, users complained of website issues hampering their bookings.
The phone can be booked online through freedom251.com between 6 am and 8 pm from February 18 to February 21. On clicking the 'Buy Now' option, the site asks users to fill in some related details. The company is charging Rs 40 per unit for shipping the device taking the total cost to Rs 291.
However, once the user fills in the details and hits 'Pay Now', the site redirects the user to the same buy now page with a completely blank page or with blank columns for filling in the shipping address.
In the latest update, the website of Freedom 251 has apologised to the customers citing server issues and has promised to be back in service within 24 hours.
