Himalayan Royal Enfield offers a fresh experience for bikers who are looking to cross over into new terrains

Heralded as one of the most anticipated Indian automobile of 2016, the Royal Enfield Himalayan is finally being launched in India. Priced at Rs. 1.55 lakh, the Royal Enfield Himalayan will be available only in the NCR region.
With adventure tour proliferating widely across India, the Himalayan is an affordable off-road bike catered for the Indian customers. Because the bike is still not BS4 compliant, it will not be released in the Delhi region. Customers looking to purchase the Royal Enfield Himalayan will have to procure it for a price of Rs. 1.79 lakhs from the NCR region (Gurgaon, Faridabad, Ghaziabad and Noida).
When Royal Enfield earlier unveiled the Himalayan bike, there were many questions being raised by auto-enthusiasts — how would the bike which is slightly leaner than its predecessors perform in the gritty conditions of the Himalayan terrain? Would this design entail for reduction in the speed or would it mean the opposite? And, would the Himalayan sustain a reasonable mileage for long journeys into the unknown?
