Xiaomi launches Mi Band 2 with OLED display in China

The wearable device is due to reach Chinese consumers on June 7

New Delhi: Chinese electronics company Xiaomi Inc has launched its Xiaomi Mi Band 2 which has made with an OLED display and heart-rate monitor. The device will help users track fitness and sleep, and monitor heart rate.

The wearable device is due to reach Chinese consumers on June 7 priced at $23 (Rs 1500).

“We just stepped up our game with Mi Band 2, now with an OLED display for you to see your progress and more at a glance. Plus, it’s now a watch too,” said Xiaomi VP, Hugo Barra on his Facebook page.

Mi Band 2 is Xiaomi's third fitness tracker. The company first released a wearable tracker two years ago with the Mi Band 1

The new Mi Band 2 wearable supports second-generation Bluetooth 4.0 LE for pairing with the smartphone. It will be compatible with devices running Android 4.4 and above as well as iOS 7.0 and above.

The device is made up of silicone and is IP67 certified water-resistant.
