Flipkart delivers mangoes instead of a phone

It seems that the bad days have started surrounding the e-commerce giant Flipkart. After price tag controversy, the digital shopping brand is yet another time in news for all wrong reasons. In its recent goof-up, Flipkart sent package containing two juicy mangoes to a resident of Jagtial in Telangana, Chiluveri Srucharan who had ordered for a smartphone.

During the Flipkart mega sale, Srucharan placed an order for an Asus Zenphone 5 worth Rs 8,099 but he was delivered with mangoes.  Ever since he made the order on June 8, Srucharan is struggling to either get his smartphone from the company or refund on his order number OD002947033911410000. However, he has yet not been lucky enough to get either of it.

Taken aback by the major blunder from Flipkart, Srucharan brought the matter to the notice of its customer team from where he was assured the refund within 24 hours.

Unfortunately, the trouble escalated for the anxious customer as Flipkart did not make the refund and instead promised to deliver the original product.
After not receiving the original product also, Srucharan once again approached the Flipkart where he was told, “We would like to inform you that your recent replacement order has been cancelled as we have noticed an unwarranted return, which do not comply with our Returns Policy.”

Angry over the poor customer service, Srucharan expressed, “I have been getting varied answers whenever I complain about the wrong delivery. In a mail sent by representatives of the e-commerce company, they even threatened to block my order if I took this issue to the social media. I am planning to take help of a consumer forum if this problem is not addressed soon”.

This is definitely not the first time the Flipkart has delivered an unexpected product like this. In the past as well, several customers have received rocks, paper and other unintended items instead of what they ordered.
