Beijing: China on Monday said it opposes terrorism in any form and backed Pakistan's efforts to counter terrorism and safeguard national stability.
Condemning the Taliban attacks on churches in Pakistan, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hong Lei said, "We are deeply shocked and in a state of grief over the attack and condemn the terrorists in the strongest terms".
China opposes terrorism in any form and will continue to support the country's efforts to counter terrorism and safeguard national stability, Hong was quoted as saying by Xinhua news agency.
At least 15 people were killed and 80 others injured when two Taliban suicide bombers blew themselves up at the entrance of two separate churches in Lahore on Sunday.
"China extends heartfelt condolences to the victims and expresses deep sympathy to the wounded and the families of the victims," he said.
