Suspected 'mastermind' of Paris terror attacks Abdelhamid Abaaoud

Paris: Following Friday’s deadly terror attacks in the French city of Paris, that killed nearly 160 people, the French police carried 150 raids on Monday to target suspected Islamists in France.

Amidst the probe, the investigators got a breakthrough on Monday when the ‘mastermind’ to the Friday’s horror was identified as Abdelhamid Abaaoud.  Abaaoud is a Belgian national of Moroccan origin.

Another key suspect named Salah Abdeslam, a Belgian-born French national wanted in connection with last week's deadly Paris attacks was reportedly captured alive in an operation by Belgian special forces in Molenbeek, an impoverished suburb of Brussels with a history of links to terror plots, a well-known broadcaster in Belgium reported. However, a Belgian public broadcaster RTBF said he was not arrested.
