Blast rocks Jalalabad in Afghanistan
Kabul: A bomb blast rocked Jalababad city in Afghanistan on Tuesday, police said.
The explosive device went off around 10.30 a.m., Xinhua news agency reported. The Iranian and Pakistani consulates are located close to the site of the blast, an official said.
Militants also targeted the Indian consulate in the city of Mazar-e-Sharif. A  group of armed men late Sunday attacked the Indian consulate, the capital of northern Balkh province.
However, reports claimed that it was not immediately clear whether the consulate was directly targeted, as the area also has a building belonging to a local politician.
A similar incident had taken place in May 2014, gunmen attacked the Indian consulate in Herat.
In  August 2013, nine civilians died when the consulate in Jalalabad was targeted
