Responding to India's demand to act on the proofs provided to Pakistan in relation to the Pathankot terror attack, Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif has asked the chief of the Intelligence Bureau in his country to form a joint investigation team to investigate the alleged links of the Pathankot airbase attackers with Pakistan.
According to the Pakistani media, Pakistan’s Intelligence Bureau will be forming a joint probing team within Pakistan to ascertain the links and the proofs India has provided to Islamabad that have links to the Pathankot terror attack.
The move has come after the Pakistani premier Nawaz Sharif chaired a high-level meeting on Sunday, showing seriousness to nab all the culprits and their alleged connection with Pakistan.
The decision is to form a joint investigating team comprising of officials from IB, ISI and the military intelligence in Pakistan, source said.
After the Pathankot attack, India wanted Pakistan to take prompt action on the alleged Pathankot airbase attackers who were linked to Pakistan.
Now, what remains to be seen is will this be seen as action which India was looking for or would it be just mere lip service by Pakistan.
