Prime Minister reaches Germany

HANNOVER: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday reached Germany city of Hannover after winding up the first leg of his three-nation tour.

Business and technology will be the focus of his trip and his engagements are aimed at attracting global participation in his ‘Make In India’ campaign. 

PM Modi, along with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, will inaugurate the Hannover Fair, the world's largest show of capital goods and technology. 

PM Modi will be received by Merkel when he arrives at Hannover fair ground on Sunday evening and later they will jointly attend the opening ceremony of the Hannover fair and are also scheduled to attend the gatherings at Hannover centre.

Later, Modi will leave for Berlin where he will visit a science and technology academy as well as a German railway station to take stock of railway modernisation.

PM Modi is also expected to meet the family members of freedom fighter Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose in Germany.

Germany is the second leg of Modi's three-nation tour. In the third and last leg of his three-nation tour, Modi will travel Canada on Tuesday.
