Indian kills wife inside kitchen of Dunkin' Donuts in US

WASHINGTON: A 24-year-old Indian national is suspected of beating his wife to death inside the kitchen of a Dunkin' Donuts restaurant in Maryland, United States (US).

Police suspect Bhadreshkumar Chetanbhai Patel killed his 21-year-old wife Palak Bhadreskumar Patel and a manhunt has been launched to trace him. The couple worked at the Dunkin' Donuts as the permanent employees.

“We are treating this as domestic-related, not random. Again, they were husband and wife and lived together in the area,” Justin Mulcahy, Anne Arundel County police said.

The police got a call around 11 pm on Sunday when a customer noticed that there were no employees at the Dunkin' Donuts on Arundel Mills Boulevard.

Mulcahy said in a statement, “We have officers who work in this area. One of the officers came to the business and found the victim.” The victim's family was seen entering the Dunkin' Donuts, said reports.

Metro Crime Stoppers are offering a USD 2,000 reward for any information leading to the suspect.
