Islamabad: At least two people were killed and another was injured on Monday after unidentified assailants opened fire on a bus carrying pilgrims in Pakistan’s Balochistan province.

The incident occurred on the outskirts of the provincial capital city of Quetta, Dawn online reported.

The bus, carrying Shia pilgrims, was travelling from Quetta to Taftan, a town on the Iran border.

The armed men managed to escape from the site where similar attacks have been carried out against pilgrims in the past as well.
