New Delhi: Pakistan has expressed serious concerns to the United Nations Secretary General and the President of the UN Security Council, through letters about the India’s efforts to introduce a controversial “Geospatial Information Regulation Bill” on Kashmir in Parliament.

According to Pakistan the passage of this bill would give the freedom to the Indian government to penalise individuals and organisations that depict Jammu and Kashmir as disputed territory.

The letter calls upon the United Nations to uphold the UNSC resolutions and urge India to stop such acts which are in violation of international law.
