New Delhi: Hundreds of protesters, on Thursday, hurled eggs outside a rally for Donald Trump in California. The protesters were seen chanting 'No hate in our state' and carried signs reading 'Dump Trump' as they marched near the San Jose Convention Centre in northern California.
Demonstrators blocked a police van after entering the parking area of the San Jose Convention Center, where the event was taking place and continued to insult Trump supporters in their cars.
According to the reports, many clashes have taken place in the recent week during Donald Trump's rallies.
Earlier in the month of April, when he was speaking at the California Republican Party convention, protesters had blocked access to the venue, forcing him to use the back door.
What triggered the protest:
Trump was reportedly responding to a fiery speech in the rally as his opponent, Hillary Clinton, had earlier 'hurled abuses' at him. Trump had struck out at Clinton, attacking her on the email controversy.
The demonstrators had chased, punched and attacked Trump supporters, minutes after the people had begun to disperse.
