London: In a tragic incident in London, Labour party MP Jo Cox, who was shot three times and later stabbed a number of times by a man has died, after battling for her life.

The mother of two who represents Batley and Spen was talking to the locals in Bristall near Leeds when she was shot and stabbed repeatedly by the gunman.

As per sources, the accused a 52-year-old was first seen shouting 'Britain first'; later the accused shot Cox three times. She dropped on the floor after the initial shot, but the gunman fired two more shots. He was then seen stabbing the 41-year-old MP with a hunting knife almost half a dozen times.

The 52-year-old shooter was later nabbed by the police.
