New Delhi: As many as 250 Islamic State militants were reportedly killed in the US-led coalition airstrikes conducted in Fallujah city of Iraq on Wednesday.

At least 40 vehicles were destroyed in the airstrike.

Reports said the number of casualties in the operation can change.

Civilians have also been displaced in the operation which is believed to be one of the deadliest strikes against terror network.

Recently, Iraqi military declared full liberation of Fallujah city from ISIS militants after about a month of battles.

Government troops and allied militias have currently been fighting for months to reclaim key cities and towns in Anbar province from IS militants, who attempted to approach Baghdad after seizing most of the province.
