Bomb blast in Bangladesh: Two policemen killed, nine others wounded

New Delhi: A deadly bomb blast rocked Bangladesh on Wednesday morning at the occasion of Eid-ul-fitr celebration. This fresh attack follows the recent terrorist slaughter in the capital of Bangladesh.

Kishoreganj district is a part of the Dhaka division which was rocked by a bomb blast on Wednesday. One policeman was instantly killed in the attack and several others were injured. One of the terrorists has been killed by the security forces but the encounter between the terrorists and forces is underway.

The attack occurred near the entrance of Bangladesh's largest Eid congregation.

One of the attackers were gunned down by the police and another was caught alive.

Locals say 6-7 youths led attack on Eid congregation of 30,000 people. Attacked cop with knife and exploded bombs.

More police forces have been dispatched to Kishoreganj where Eid attackers are believed to be holed up in a school.

The place where the attack took place is about 100 kms away from Dhaka.

It is unclear whether the bomb attack was a suicide or a timed blast.
