Pamplona: At least two men were in serious condition after being gored and three others were injured during the fourth day of the running of the bulls at Pamplona's San Fermin festival on Sunday.
The two gored men were from the southeastern town of Valencia and were reportedly injured in an alleyway leading to the bullring. While one of them sustained a neck wound, the other suffered a puncture under the arm and also fractured an ankle.
The three others who hail from Murcia, Madrid and Barcelona were hospitalised for treatment.
More than 1,000 people from across the globe took part in the running of the bulls, the eight-day festival of Saint Fermin in Pamplona.
So far, eleven men have been gored in the four bull runs held this year in Pamplona. They include three Americans, one from Japan, an Indian, a Canadian and a South African.
Last year, ten people were gored in the San Fermin festival.
