New Delhi: A court appearance in Michigan, United States turned gruesome under a minute when an inmate grabbed the gun of a deputy police officer and shot dead two court bailiffs on Monday.
Identified as Larry Darnell Gordon, the accused tried to take hostages after he managed to snatch a gun from the deputy and shoot two bailiffs of the court and injure the deputy. The convict also shot a woman in the arm, but before he could proceed any further with his plan, other bailiffs in the court drew their fire against him when he tried to run away.
Berrien Country Sherifff L Paul Bailey said, ""Our hearts are torn apart. They were our friends. They were our colleagues. I've known them over 30 years."
The incident, which took place at the Berrien County courthouse, hasn't as yet been linked to the protest in Dallas where five police officers were fatally shot dead by a lone sniper.
