New Delhi: After the deadly terror attack in Nice city in France on Thursday night, where almost 84 people have been reported dead and many others injured, Ricardo Baron Baretyky, President of ECIPS and Cyberpol in a conversation with NewsX said, "It’s a tragedy and is a situation that we had said on several occasions is about to worsen ... and we advise the government to take caution to this development."
On being asked if this was the right time for entire Europe to be more vigilant to these terror threats, Baretyky said, "I think it's a global problem and the problem is getting stronger everyday and it is getting worse every day. But we have to pay attention that where is this going to lead in future. We are looking at a systematic destabilisation of not only a part of Europe but the whole of Europe.”
Following the attack, French President Francois Hollande has declared a three-day mourning period for the victims of the Nice terror attack who were killed during the celebration of Bastille Day.
Thursday night in the city of Nice, France turned into a horrific nightmare for people celebrating the event when an unidentified man driving a lorry rammed straight into the crowd and zigzagged to crush more victims.
The terrorist then went on a killing spree by heavy gunfire at the assembled crowd. When the attacker was shot dead by the police, they discovered that the lorry was laden with explosives.
