New Delhi: Baton Rouge police officer, Montrell Jackson, who was shot dead earlier along with two other police officers had written an emotional plea on Facebook two weeks before he was killed.

Jackson, who was 32 years of age and was father to a 4-month-old boy, Mason, had confessed on Facebook what it was like to be a black cop in the United States.

After the death of Alton Sterling at the hands of two white cops in Baton Rouge, the killing of Philando Castile at point blank range, the United States have been swept with a wave of attacks against policemen by civilians that resulted in the death of more than five police officers.

Due to the mistrust and the censure directed towards the police after these incidences, Jackson took to Facebook to vent his frustration and urged everyone to not let “hate infect their heart.”
