New Delhi: "She supported all of us, including my son who killed her," says Mohammad Azeem the father of the famous Pakistani model Qandeel Baloch who was killed for 'honour' by her brother.
The father of the Pakistani model, Mohammad Azeem has filed a case against his son. The father also testified against another of his sons, who works in the army and reportedly encouraged his sibling to carry out the killing of his sister Qandeel.
The 26-year-old Qandeel was killed by her brother Waseem Azeem in their family home in Multan on 16 July. Waseem was later found and arrested some 100 kilometres from Multan in Dera Ghazi Khan. After the arrest, he said he decided to kill his sister after she uploaded images of her posing with the Muslim cleric, which were widely shared online.
Fauzia Azeem, 26 who was famously known as 'Qandeel Baloch' gained notoriety by posting some revealing photographs, comments and videos on social media.
Her death has sparked a debate over 'honour killings' and what is acceptable online behaviour for women in Pakistan.
